Focus of the Role
The Project Specialist will be responsible for managing projects of varying size and complexity, that support our country operations, governance, and operational excellence agenda. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, process discipline, and the ability to collaborate across diverse stakeholders to achieve measurable outcomes.
In this role you also demonstrate Telstra behaviors and knowledge of key delivery processes. You actively contribute to the growth of the chapter and others by sharing insights and continuously improving your skills. Your key responsibilities include:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute projects aligned with OKRs, focusing on governance, compliance, operational excellence, and innovation.
- Define clear problem statements and develop structured project plans with measurable outcomes.
- Apply project management frameworks to monitor progress, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery.
- Prepare documentation and presentations to ensure stakeholder alignment.
- Collaborate across functions to deliver agreed objectives.
- Deliver standalone or connected small to medium-scale programs, including complex initiatives.
- Develop and maintain project and process documentation, track progress, and manage risks and issues.
- Support business problem-solving and implement solutions.
- Coordinate stakeholder collaboration to achieve project outcomes.
About You
To be successful in this role, we are looking for the following skills/experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end projects of varying complexity.
- Strong analytical and problem-definition skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency with project management tools and reporting systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
