LabCorp is currently seeking a Project Specialist to join our ViroMed team located in Burlington, NC! The ideal candidate will be one who can take initiative, has strong communication and computer skills, assists with project implementation of the VirMed department and experience within a clinical laboratory.
Work Schedule: 1st shift, Monday-Friday. 8:00am-4:30pm

Job Responsibilities
- Performs assigned activities of project team, and works with the supervisors, managers and directors on planning, initiating and completing all assigned activities.
- Continually reviews programs and provides training to management and staff on changes and new systems.
- Generates complete, accurate and timely correspondence such that the reader understands the intended message.
- Performs administrative support duties (e.g. maintains records, generates and/or sends reports and communications, maintains databases, enters data, answers phones, files, etc.) completely, accurately and within established timeframes.
- Assists with customer service & customer supply orders.
- Coordinates work/information between designated parties and ensures optimal performance such that objectives and goals are achieved completely and accurately
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in a Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology
- Minimum 3 years of applicable experience preferred
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems is a plus
- High level of attention detail along with strong communication and organizational skills
- Must be able to pass a standardized color vision screen
- Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs
