Job Description:
- Review, revise, and provide legal risk assessments for daily contracts and agreements, including but not limited to procurement, sales, technology, service, cooperation agreements, and NDAs.
- Support the company’s compliance management activities, including compliance reviews, assessments, and follow-up on the implementation of compliance policies and procedures.
- Assist in trade compliance matters, including import/export compliance, sanctions compliance, and export control compliance (where applicable), supporting global and cross-border business operations.
- Support data compliance and information protection matters, including personal data protection, data security, and cross-border data transfer compliance.
- Participate in legal and compliance awareness training activities, including preparation of training materials and support for compliance communications.
- Assist in implementing confidentiality and data classification requirements, ensuring proper handling of contracts, business documents, and personal data.
- Support legal and compliance-related document, contract, and record management, ensuring proper filing, retention, and compliance with internal and legal requirements.
- Provide legal and compliance support in a global business context, with the ability to understand global business models, processes, and governance requirements.
- Act as one of the communication points between the China organization and global legal teams, participating in cross-regional and cross-cultural legal collaboration.
- Assist in coordinating with external legal counsel and internal global legal teams on legal and compliance matters.
- Perform other legal and compliance-related tasks as assigned.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Law.
- Passed the National Legal Professional Qualification Examination (PRC Bar) and holds a valid legal qualification certificate.
- Approximately 5 years of relevant experience in corporate legal, compliance, or law firm practice.
- Experience in technology-driven companies, high-tech enterprises, or multinational corporations is preferred.
- Solid knowledge of contract law, company law, compliance management, trade compliance, and data protection regulations.
- Strong proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese, with the ability to communicate professionally in a global business environment.
- Good understanding of global business operations and processes, and the ability to work seamlessly with global legal teams across regions.
- Strong legal and compliance awareness, with hands-on experience or solid understanding of confidentiality, data classification, and records management.
- Strong legal risk awareness, analytical skills, and cross-cultural communication abilities.
Skills Required
