MCB's Compliance Strategic Business Unit (SBU) plays an important role as a second line of defence within corporate governance for assessing, controlling and mitigating compliance and reputational risk arising from MCB’s operating environment and activities. By joining the team as Project Specialist, you will assist the Project Lead in the coordination of projects impacting the SBU and the implementation of strategic initiatives and business improvements. We are looking for: Job Vacancy: Project SpecialistIn this role you will:• Assist in the implementation of projects, initiatives, process & system reviews, including by capitalising on the use of AI, to ensure their success and report on challenges, impacts and state of advancement to the Project Lead, the Project & Analytics Team Leader and/or the Group Head of Compliance; • Propose, design and implement solutions to promote efficiency within Compliance SBU; • Participate in facilitation of working sessions and collaborate with cross-functional teams, subject matter experts and other stakeholders to formulate clear project requirements and ensure that appropriate solutions are crafted to meet objectives set; • Act as a point of contact between the project team and the end-users to collect or escalate feedback/issues/improvement opportunities during and after projects; • Engage in regular communication with the Project Lead, the Project & Analytics Team Leader and/or the Group Head of Compliance, providing key updates and insights on projects’ implementation to allow for informed decision-making; • Collaborate with the Data Analytics team, within the Projects & Analytics cluster, on projects for data related aspects; • Support project resources, under the scope of responsibility, to ensure delivery in line with project priorities, quality standards, budget and deadlines; • Assist in preparation of reports to the Compliance management team and/or committees; • Act as enablers and partners in the attainment of the objectives of Compliance SBU and the organisation, from an operational perspective; • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in compliance and project management. We are looking for candidates who have:• A Bachelor’s degree or certification in Business Administration/Financial Services/Technology/Data Analytics/Project Management, or a related field; AndEither • At least 2 years of experience in Project Management in the Banking and Financial Sector; Or • At least 3 years of experience in the Banking and Financial sector. And• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office tools; • Knowledge of AI and project monitoring tools will be an advantage; • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills; • Demonstrate perseverance and resilience; • Good project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
