About the role:

The Project Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring earned value progress measurement systems for small to large projects. Working under general supervision, this role supports project execution through schedule development, progress tracking, forecasting, delay identification, and schedule performance analysis. 

The position works closely with Project Planning Lead, and Project Controls personnel, to establish and maintain tools that support successful execution of the project. The role contributes to progress measurement, planning workshops, project controls reporting, and schedule management activities throughout the project lifecycle.

In addition, Scheduler supports continuous improvement initiatives related to progress measurement methodologies while ensuring consistency and accuracy of reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and monitor earned value progress measurements 
  • Track physical earned progress
  • Identify deviations, and delays
  • Participating in interactive planning sessions and planning workshops 
  • Progress reporting activities
  • Analyze performance and recommend improvements 
  • Assist in the development of reporting tools, templates, and progress measurement standards

Compliance / Operational Responsibilities 

  • Ensure compliance with Planning & Scheduling procedures, standards, and work methods 
  • Maintain accurate data, reporting information, and progress measurement records 
  • Support earned value management and project controls reporting requirements 
  • Ensure deliverables meet quality and project requirements 
  • Support schedule reviews and performance assessments 
  • Maintain project records 
  • Support implementation of approved reporting methodologies 
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Planning & Scheduling function

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience 
  • 2–5 years of reporting experience in the energy industry 
  • Experience with Easy Plant
  • Experience with progress measurement of construction
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Construction Management 
  • Experience with multi-office execution and module fabrication yard execution 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Access 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Power BI 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint 
  • Experience with in-house and third-party progress measurement software 
  • Exposure to change management processes and schedule impacts 
  • Experience supporting projects within the energy transition industry

Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • 2–5 years of planning and scheduling experience in the energy industry
  • Experience with Primavera P6 scheduling software
  • Experience with scheduling and progress measurement of engineering work processes
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Construction Management
  • Experience with multi-office execution and module fabrication yard execution
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Access
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Power BI
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Significant experience with Primavera P6 software
  • Experience with in-house and third-party progress measurement software
  • Familiarity with quantitative risk analysis techniques for schedules
  • Exposure to change management processes and schedule impacts
  • Experience with construction and commissioning scheduling
  • AACE International certification or working knowledge of AACE recommended practices in Planning and Scheduling or Project Controls
  • Experience supporting projects within the energy transition industry
