Position Title: Project Risk & Governance Analyst


Location:
Taguig City, Metro Manila – 2 days per week onsite

Role Purpose 


The Project Risk & Governance Analyst supports the organisation's risk management and governance activities, ensuring risks, issues, actions, and decisions are effectively tracked, reported, and managed through established processes and tools.

Working closely with project teams, business stakeholders, and leadership, the role is responsible for maintaining risk information, supporting governance forums, monitoring mitigation activities, and ensuring project and operational risks are accurately captured within Jira Service Management (JSM).

In addition, the role will lead or support smaller projects and improvement initiatives, particularly those related to risk reduction, governance, operational effectiveness, and process improvement. This role is ideally suited to an individual with a background in project management, PMO, governance, or risk management who enjoys working across teams to provide visibility, challenge assumptions, and ensure risks and actions are proactively managed.

Key Responsibilities

Summary 


Risk Management


  • Support the ongoing execution of the organisation's established risk management framework and processes.

  • Identify, document, assess, and track risks across projects and operational activities.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date risk registers within Jira Service Management (JSM).

  • Ensure project risks are reviewed regularly and appropriately recorded, updated, and escalated where required.

  • Monitor risk mitigation plans and action items, following up with risk owners to ensure progress.

  • Track emerging risks, issues, dependencies, and control gaps.

  • Support risk reviews and workshops with stakeholders across the business.

  • Assist in the preparation of risk summaries, trend analysis, and reporting for leadership forums.

Governance


  • Coordinate governance activities and support regular governance meetings and review forums.

  • Maintain logs for risks, issues, actions, decisions, and dependencies.

  • Ensure governance artefacts and reporting are completed accurately and on schedule.

  • Support adherence to internal governance standards, policies, and audit requirements.

  • Track and monitor completion of governance actions and agreed remediation activities.

  • Prepare governance packs, dashboards, and reporting materials for stakeholders and leadership teams.

Project Delivery


  • Lead small-scale projects and improvement initiatives from initiation through completion.

  • Support planning, scheduling, tracking, and reporting activities for assigned projects.

  • Manage project risks, issues, actions, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Coordinate stakeholders to ensure project objectives and deliverables are achieved.

  • Support implementation of recommendations arising from risk assessments, audits, or governance reviews.

Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement


  • Produce regular risk and governance reports, dashboards, and status updates.

  • Provide insight into project and operational risk exposure.

  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure timely updates to risks, actions, and mitigation plans.

  • Support leadership decision-making through clear and accurate reporting.

  • Build effective working relationships across project teams and business functions.

Continuous Improvement


  • Identify opportunities to improve risk reporting, governance activities, and project tracking practices.

  • Contribute to enhancements within Jira Service Management (JSM) and associated governance reporting.

  • Support lessons learned activities and the implementation of process improvements.

  • Promote proactive risk management and good governance practices across teams.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

What we are looking for in you 


Required

  • 3-5 years' experience in risk management, PMO, project management, governance, or related disciplines.
  • Experience maintaining risk registers and tracking risk mitigation activities.
  • Working knowledge of project delivery methodologies and governance processes.
  • Experience using Jira Service Management (JSM) or similar governance and risk management tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to engage confidently with stakeholders across multiple business functions.

Preferred

  • Experience within a project, PMO, governance, or operational risk environment.
  • Familiarity with audit, compliance, or control management activities.
  • Experience creating reports and dashboards using Power BI, Excel, or similar reporting tools.
  • PRINCE2 Foundation, Agile Foundation, or equivalent project management qualification.
  • Risk-related certifications or training would be beneficial.
