We are looking for our new Capital and Portfolio Management Lead CE (Continental Europe) M/F/X. Within the engineering organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient allocation of €1.5 billion across multiple projects slated until 2030. This entails strategic planning, resource allocation, and risk management to ensure that projects are executed on time, within budget, and to the desired quality standards. This involves coordinating with project managers, engineering teams, and other stakeholders to prioritize initiatives, optimize resource utilization, and drive maximum return on investment. Additionally, you would monitor project performance, track financial metrics, and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
This is a CE role, and your main office will be in Villeneuve D'Ascq. Frequent travelling to our different sites within France, the Netherlands, Poland, Belgium, and other locations within Europe are required. You will report to the Capital Excellence Program Manager CE. You work closely together with the Health & Safety Program Lead CE and the Deployment Program Lead CE.
Key responsibilities :

  • You will regularly assess, report, and communicate on the project portfolio status and the performance: risks, delays, cost deviations, etc. to the Vice President Engineering.
  • You identify, assess, and manage risks at portfolio level and develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
  • You prepare and distribute regular portfolio reports and dashboards.
  • You support in the project selection and the prioritization based on criteria defined by the PMO lead.
  • You create a portfolio roadmap that outlines the sequencing of projects, while securing all projects small, medium, and large are finalized on time.
  • You ensure change management within the organization, assuring all people are onboarded in the new processes.


Qualifications:

  • You have an engineering background and a proven track record in portfolio management.
  • You have a proven track record in project management and know the project management principles by heart.
  • You are highly organized while keeping track of different project steps.
  • You have the capability to translate KPI's in a concise and clear manner.
  • You are used to working with ambiguity, in a quickly changing environment within a complex matrix organization.
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization. You are fluent in English.
  • While acting like an owner, you easily connect with people, involve them, and make the projects a success.
