Project Portfolio Manager (Customer)

Lieu : Herstal, Belgium

Mission:

Main Responsibilities:

• Manage a set of projects, relying on different project managers, in accordance with the strategy defined
• Review and challenge project baselines in cooperation with project manager, supply chain and production manager
• Based on clear project objectives, define initial project baselines in cooperation with project managers and operation manager
• Ensure that the objectives of the different projects are aligned with the strategy at any time
• Identify potential bottleneck and set priorities as required
• Review schedule and financial figures (actuals and estimated to complete) of each project individually on a regular basis with corresponding project managers and put them in perspective with the progress based on the Earn Valued Management methodology
• Consolidate the project portfolio’s financial figures
• Identify any lack of resources (quantity or skill) to achieve project portfolio objectives and suggest appropriate actions
• Manage risks and opportunities at project portfolio level
• Define appropriate key performance indicators and carry out the corresponding reporting to the management

Profile:

Required level of studies and experience

• Master degree in Engineering or Finance, with a proven experience in project/portfolio management in a high-tech environment
• An experience working for an international defense company is an asset;
• Project or Portfolio management certification such as PMP or IPMA is an asset;
