The Project Portfolio Lead is responsible for financial coordination, driving the continuous improvement of the working process as well as transparency of our project and investment portfolio. As the Project Portfolio Lead, you operate at the intersection between project execution, finance, and production, with strong influence but without formal people management. The Project Management Organization (PMO) is responsible for investment projects at the Uppsala site.
This position reports to the PMO manager and is part of the Project Portfolio Governance Team together with Program Managers and the Manager for Project Execution. The position is located in Uppsala, Sweden, and will be an on-site role.
What you will do:
- Act as the bridge between PMO and Finance for portfolio planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial follow‑up.
- Own portfolio‑level financial and capacity forecasting (monthly, quarterly, annual) in close alignment with Finance.
- Ensuring consistent portfolio governance across all projects, following the PMO governance model.
- Own portfolio management tools, KPIs, and reporting—driving data quality, transparency, and decision‑ready insights.
- Represent the project and investment portfolio in governance and strategic decision forums.
- Collaborate closely with project managers and project sponsors to ensure alignment between portfolio priorities, delivery capacity, and execution performance.
Who you are:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Business, Finance, Engineering, or similar.
- You bring 10+ years of experience working with projects and project portfolios, ideally in complex and cross-functional environments.
- Collaborative by nature, with a proven ability to build trust and strong working relationships across various functions.
- You work in a structured and quality-driven way. Valuing clear governance, consistency, and high quality, reliable data.
- A continuous improvement mindset, with motivation to evolve tools, processes, and ways of working overtime.
- Fluency in both Swedish and English, with strong communication skills in speaking as well as writing.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Danaher Business System or an equivalent continuous improvement methodology.
- Experience from Smartsheet or other project portfolio tools.
