- Review and challenge consultant, OEM and vendor deliverables, including mechanical design reports, calculations, specifications, datasheets, layouts, P&IDs, technical schedules and vendor documentation.
- Provide technical oversight for diesel / thermal power station mechanical systems, balance of plant, rotating equipment, fuel systems, cooling, exhaust, ventilation, fire protection interfaces and utilities.
- Manage mechanical interfaces with solar, BESS, HV electrical, controls, civil / structural, procurement, construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning scopes.
- Lead or contribute to design reviews, HAZID / HAZOP, Safety in Design, constructability, operability, maintainability, pre-commissioning and commissioning readiness reviews.
- Support procurement and package management, including technical bid evaluation, clarifications, scope gaps, deviations, vendor data review, technical recommendations and vendor readiness for installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning.
You are ;
• Degree qualified Mechanical Engineer with substantial experience in power generation, diesel / thermal generation, oil & gas, mining, utilities, renewables infrastructure or similar industrial projects.
• RPEQ Mechanical already held, or ability to obtain RPEQ within 3 months of commencement. Chartered / CPEng status is preferred but not mandatory.
