Senior / Lead Project Manager

Wotton under Edge  

Up to £55,000 depending on experience

Renishaw is currently seeking an experienced Senior / Lead Project Manager with excellent project co‑ordination and management skills to work in Renishaw’s Additive Manufacturing Group and support our future product range plans. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the role will involve working with multi-disciplinary research and development teams to manage exciting additive manufacturing projects, developing new techniques, technologies and products to drive the additive manufacturing industry forward.

 

The role will be based at our New Mills site near Wotton-under-Edge, Gloucestershire. Travel to other sites may also be required depending on the business need.

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the management of additive manufacturing projects, from planning, execution of these plans, and the release of new products and technologies to market through the most optimal methods.

  • Supporting projects through the formal Renishaw product development process.

  • Supporting externally funded projects and applications.

  • Working as part of a project management team to deliver the additive manufacturing programme.

  • Communication of project progress and status to a range of stakeholders through various mediums (including verbal presentations and written documentation)

  • Lead the risk management process for project team(s).

  • Manage the resource requirements for project team(s).

  • Coordinate and define project scope for responsible project(s).

  • Manage the compliance and documentation processes.

  • Manage project cost and resource forecast using Renishaw custom software.

  • Report status against roadmap and iterations.

  • Attend and lead team update meetings/stand ups and lead retrospectives and risk meetings.

  • Assist with reporting for board papers, flagship reporting and the development of roadmaps.

  • Supporting the team in good practice process.

  • Support project management initiatives / process improvement activities both within divisions and across the business.

  • Assist/support the Programme Manager where necessary with operational activities.

Key requirements

  • Deep and broad experience in project management processes for R&D projects and delivering new products to market and product launches.

  • Minimum HNC / Degree educated (2:1 or above) in a relevant discipline (STEM or Management).

  • Able to work effectively as part of a diverse and global team, but able to work independently as well to drive outcomes

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

  • A full, valid passport ensuring unrestricted travel to and from the UK.

  • A full UK driving license.

 

Desirable requirements

  • Recognised project management qualifications.

  • Experience managing Innovate UK funded projects.

  • Engineering specific project management experience.

  • Experience of configuration management systems for managing software development and changes (e.g., Microsoft DevOps, Atlassian products, SharePoint etc)

  • Experience with working with remote team members.

They will be a strong communicator, innovative and highly organised, enabling them to manage multiple projects simultaneously and achieve the best project outcome possible.
