The Project Manager role at Avnet has a strong emphasis on delivering complex, IT-enabled initiatives and end-to-end business solutions across a heterogeneous enterprise landscape (ERP, warehouse/logistics systems, and CRM), working closely with business and IT teams and external technology partners.Plans, leads, monitors and coordinates activities related to technology and business projects and programs. Manages projects or assigned projects subcomponents to ensure cost, schedule, scope and deliverable requirements are met. Interfaces and communicates progress of projects.


What You'll Be Doing:

  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, success criteria, and benefits with business and technical stakeholders.

  • Build and maintain comprehensive project plans, including timelines, cutover and go-live schedules, resource plans, dependencies, and budgets.

  • Lead full project life-cycle delivery using Agile, Waterfall, and/or Hybrid methodologies, ensuring appropriate governance and controls.

  • Use project management principals, theories, techniques and tools.

  • Manage time, cost, schedules, quality, procurement, communication, and risk.

  • Coordinate cross – functional teams (developers, testers, Bas , infrastrcuture, vendors, business)

  • Monitor progress, track KPIs, and provide timely, clear status reporting.

  • Control scope changes by assessing impact across cost, timeline, and risk.

  • Deliver projects on time, on budget, and with minimal business disruption.

  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and relevant regulatory requirements.

  • Provide leadership of project team members throughout the project life-cycle.

  • Build strong, trusted relationships with senior leaders, business users, technical teams, and external partners.

  • Coordinate activities and work collaboratively with all stakeholders across departments.

  • Manage projects and programs that cross multiple departments/regions throughout the company.

  • Lead project meetings, workshops, and reviews to maintain alignment and address concerns.

  • Work closely with architects to design and implement robust integration strategies.

  • May manage vendor relationships and serve as a liaison between vendors and project team members and leadership. May manage vendors including cost, quality, and schedules.

  • Provide leadership of project team members throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Other duties as assigned.


The Ideal Person:

  • Poses extensive knowledge and application of principles, theories and concepts to deliver complex full-lifecycle projects.  

  • Develops solutions to complex problems where analysis of situations and/or data requires in-depth evaluation of variables. Determine best approach to achieve results and provide suggestions to improve policies and procedures.

  • Has a proven track record of delivering projects on time and on budget.

  • Poses broad delivery experience across both long-term strategic programmes and short tactical initiatives.

  • Performs work independently and requires the exercise of judgment and discretion.

  • Is skilled in project management tools such as Jira and MS Project.

  • Excellent at stakeholder engagement and poses great communication skills.

  • Is a confident leader who supports, motivates, and guides delivery teams.

  • Adapts and is comfortable in dynamic, fast-paced, and sometimes ambiguous environments.

  • Understands that this role is key to achieve company goals.

  • Typically poses 5+ years of relevant experience with bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
