The Opportunity
Join Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University as a Project Manager supporting the Facilities Management team at the Prescott Campus. This role offers the opportunity to lead and manage a diverse portfolio of capital construction projects, including renovations, new construction, and infrastructure improvements. You will serve as the central point of coordination for projects from concept through completion, collaborating with campus leadership, contractors, and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality results that support the university’s mission and growth.
Key Job Functions
Lead pre-award project activities, including project planning, scope development, and preparation of construction and bid documents
Coordinate and manage the bidding process, including issuing RFPs, conducting pre-bid meetings, and evaluating contractor proposals
Serve as the primary point of contact for all assigned capital construction projects
Oversee post-award project execution, including contractor management, scheduling, and on-site coordination
Monitor project timelines, budgets, and quality to ensure successful delivery in alignment with university expectations
Facilitate communication among stakeholders, including campus departments, contractors, and leadership
Prepare and maintain project documentation, schedules, and progress reports
Review and approve invoices, change orders, and project-related expenditures
Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and university policies
Support project closeout and transition to operational use

Required Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant project management experience in construction or facilities management
Strong understanding of the full construction lifecycle, including design, bidding, project execution, and closeout
Experience working as a Project Manager or Owner’s Representative preferred
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and budget requirements
Proficiency in project scheduling tools (e.g., Microsoft Project) and document management systems (e.g., SharePoint)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external vendors
Knowledge of construction regulations, permitting processes, and safety standards (OSHA)
Demonstrated ability to analyze problems, make decisions independently, and adapt to changing priorities
