Join us as a Project Manager to lead and oversight the Implementation & Transformation team. 

In this senior leadership role, you will take end‑to‑end ownership of Self‑Checkout and in‑store technology delivery, overseeing the design, implementation, and operation of complex technical systems, applications, and processes. You will provide strategic direction across multiple workstreams, ensuring solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with broader business objectives.

As a trusted leader and escalation point, you will demonstrate exceptional stakeholder management skills—working confidently with senior customers, internal leadership, and delivery partners. Reporting directly to the Senior Delivery Lead, you will influence decision‑making, lead governance and management forums, and play a pivotal role in driving the organisation’s digital transformation agenda.

You will hold accountability for system quality and performance, leading testing, troubleshooting, and root‑cause analysis to ensure issues are identified early, clearly documented, and resolved effectively. Whether engaging on‑site or remotely, you will provide authoritative leadership, clear direction, and hands‑on support where required.

This role requires a consultative, outcomes‑focused approach—partnering with clients to understand strategic needs and translating them into high‑impact technical solutions. You will champion excellence in service delivery, continuously improving systems, applications, and operational processes to meet and exceed expectations.

The position involves a three‑day per week on‑site commitment in Milton Keynes, enabling close collaboration with senior stakeholders and delivery teams and reinforcing your leadership presence at the heart of the programme.

Responsibilities
  • Directs the efforts of assigned teams / supervisors.
  • Monitors implementation projects across assigned areas / customers, ensuring appropriate team focus, timely project execution and adherence to agreed standards, performance and reporting requirements, meeting customer expectations, and within team budget.
  • Escalation point for the team and customer, to acknowledge situation and lead change to resolution, sharing updates in a timely manner. 
  • Participates in customer visitations and meetings to ensure achievement of agreed upon performance measures and achievement of high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Interfaces with Sales, Service, Systems and Support associates to develop account strategies and action plans to contribute to overall success.
  • Manage workstream P&L, share weekly or daily forecast updates, discussing ways to improve GM% where possible. 
  • People management, set goals and career progression path with individuals, and ensure the team has everything they need for their role.
  • Serves as a role model in terms of culture and enhances / maintains institutional knowledge.
  • Accountable for achieving area implementation solutions goals.
  • Proposes and executes enhancements to team processes and management practices.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Typically has 6-8 years of experience in Implementation and Transformation and typically 2-4 years leadership and 5 years Project Management experience.
  • Knowledge of project management tools and systems.
  • Fluent business English skills (Written and spoken).
