Project ManagerWhat does a successful Merchant Services Project Manager do?
A successful Merchant Services Project Manager delivers medium to large projects that enable Fiserv to meet clients where they are, translating business needs into measurable outcomes.
You will partner across product, sales, finance and operations to drive change, ensure regulatory and technical feasibility, and realize return on investment. You embrace our Partner in Possibility mindset, communicate clearly with stakeholders, and contribute to our #FiservProud culture.
What you will do:
Lead projects from initiation through closure, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives are met.
Develop and maintain project plans, business cases, RAID logs, status reports, and closure documentation.
Coordinate cross‑functional teams and external vendors to deliver milestones and resolve impediments.
Capture, document, and validate business requirements and ensure alignment with technical teams.
Manage stakeholder engagement, provide regular progress updates, and escalate issues to decision makers.
Execute project governance, change control and risk mitigation activities.
Monitor project performance and track benefits realization and ROI metrics.
Facilitate meetings and workshops to drive consensus and decisioning.
What you will need to have:
Strong project management capability with a track record delivering medium to large complexity projects.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and Microsoft Project; ability to produce clear project artifacts.
Solid requirements analysis, risk management and budgeting skills.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills across all levels.
Familiarity with payments or card industry concepts and regulatory considerations.
What would be great to have:
Formal project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/ICP) or equivalent accreditation.
Experience with business change and benefits realization frameworks.
Exposure to fintech, acquiring, issuing, or embedded payments ecosystems.
Hands‑on experience with collaboration and delivery tools (JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint).
Comfort working in an agile, fast‑paced environment and adapting to changing priorities.
