IEM is looking for a Full Time - Project Manager to join our team. This role manages the overall direction and operation of mass care and human services projects, serving as the primary liaison between client stakeholders and the project team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience coordinating mass care operations, including sheltering, feeding, and essential services for disaster survivors.
Primary Location:
- Live anywhere within Southern California
- Work in an Office Environment with a team
- Preferred candidates will currently live in Orange County, California
Travel Requirements:
- This position will require some work to be conducted at a client site and may require travel to complete work assignments or attend meetings.
- Travel and other expenses are reimbursable in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations or DoD regulations.
Essential Functions:
- Manage the overall operation and direction of the project
- Develops and maintains Project Work Plan including budget and schedule
- Serves as Primary Point of Contact between client stakeholders and project team
- Provides written and oral reports to contract management and client representatives
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience: Five (5) years of relevant experience in the administration of Individual Assistance and/or Human Services Programs
- Degree: Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or human services
- Experience and Degree Substitution: An equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to effectively perform the duties and functions of this position may be considered.
- FEMA Trainings that need to be completed before hire:
- ICS 100, 200, 300, 400.
- IS 403 - Individual Assistance
- IS 405 - Mass Care/Emergency Assistance
- IS 700, 800
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in mass care human services in the American cross, state individual assistance and disaster survivor assistance.
- Experience in emergency management and disaster response, mass care, human services, and/or disaster recovery.
- Experience deploying for response and recovery clients.
- Experience establishing and operating Local Assistance Centers/Multi-Agency Resource Centers/Family Assistance Centers.
- Experience managing project teams & writing proposals.
- Master’s Degree in relevant field or relevant professional certification or accreditation such as Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) or similar. Social sciences or human services experience.
- Professional Registration or Certification will be evaluated for fit (can include, Social Work, Professional Engineer (PE), Registered Architect, Project Management).
Additional Information:
- Office Locations: Often, these offices are either owned by the client we work with or by IEM. All candidates are expected to follow any rules and regulations of the office in which they are required to work for that project.

- Annual salary based on location and experience: $130,000 - $140,000
