Matrix IFS is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Manager to lead the end-to-end implementation of an AML surveillance system, which includes the detection engine and case management solution. These roles involve cross-functional coordination with compliance, technology, operations, and vendor teams to ensure timely aneffective deployment of the solution, so it is aligned with regulatory expectations and internal risk frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Execution:
 - Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and deliverables for solution implementation.
 - Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
 - Cross-Functional Coordination:
 - Serve as the primary liaison between compliance, IT, data governance, operations, and external vendors.
 - Facilitate regular meetings to track progress, resolve issues, and ensure alignment across teams.
 - Risk & Issue Management:
 - Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
 - Escalate critical issues to senior management with recommended solutions.
 - Regulatory & Compliance Alignment:
 - Ensure the solution meets regulatory requirements (e.g., BSA/AML, OFAC, FATF).
 - Coordinate with compliance teams to validate surveillance rules and scenarios.
 - Testing & Validation:
 - Oversee user acceptance testing (UAT), data validation, and system tuning.
 - Ensure proper documentation and audit trails are maintained.
 - Reporting & Communication:
 - Provide regular status updates to stakeholders and senior leadership.
 - Prepare project documentation, dashboards, and post-implementation reviews.
 
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
 - 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in financial services or compliance technology.
 - Strong understanding of AML regulations and surveillance, as well as other technology infrastructure systems (e.g., SymphonyAI, SaaS (Cloud Managed Services, Support & Maintenance and SLA’s).
 - Proven experience managing cross-functional teams and complex projects.
 - Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
 - PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification is a plus.
