Position Overview:
An IT Project Manager is needed to lead the planning, execution, and completion of multiple cybersecurity initiatives focused on enhancing cybersecurity practices within local government entities. The role involves overseeing all phases of project development to support efforts in reducing systemic cyber risk.
Duties:
Manage medium-complexity cybersecurity projects throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery
Oversee day-to-day project activities, including task assignments, progress tracking, budget management, and issue resolution
Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and support the implementation of mitigation strategies
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders across state and local governments, and third-party vendors to ensure alignment and successful project delivery
Develop, organize, and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including materials required for federal grant compliance
Perform additional tasks related to the State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program (SLCGP) as assigned
Required Skills:
5 years of experience demonstrating strong organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking
5 years of experience with Microsoft Office tools
Active PMP certification from PMI
Preferred Skills:
10 years of experience leading cybersecurity projects
Experience with state and/or federal government IT procurement requirements and related procurement laws and processes
3 years of experience managing grant-funded projects (federal, state, or not-for-profit)
5 years of proven working experience in project management
5 years of experience with strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience with utilizing PlanView AgilePlace (nice to have)
