We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our high performing delivery team on a 12-months contract.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to;
General:
Primary Lendlease (LL) point of contact for the Client
Accountable for successful and safe project delivery in terms of budget, schedule and quality
Closely collaborate with Client’s Project Manager in providing overall project leadership and program management direction. The primary day-to-day point of contact for the Client’s senior project management personnel
Secure acceptance and approval of deliverables from the Project Sponsor and Stakeholders
Manage the interface between the design, permitting, procurement and construction teams.
Manage the design and engineering effort and coordination of design.
Limits of Authority (“LOA”)
Ultimate project accountability and management of project limits of authority including providing guidance and support to the project team .
Ensure measures are in place to ensure all staff are educated and aware of the Business/ Project LOA obligations and be seen to be an active "gatekeeper" of the LOAs.
Head Contract
Understand the key commercial and contractual obligations and risks of the Head Contract
Together with other members of the project leadership team and taking guidance from Business Management, develop, agree and implement the project’s commercial, procurement and contractual strategies.
Team
Overall leader of Lendlease project team
Responsible for building the team spirit, camaraderie and staff affiliation of the Client project team
Clearly understand the dynamics within the LL team, the Design Consultants and Client Teams so that everyone works together in a harmonious and cooperative manner
Design, Engineering and Authorities Permitting
Responsible for scoping and procuring all design-related consultants on the project
Manage the Authorities pre-consultation, waiver application, development control and building plan approval process as well as inspections for occupancy permit approvals
Schedule
Responsible to deliver the project to the agreed schedule with the client.
Provide input into the development of the overall progress schedule in conjunction with the Project Scheduler.
Quality Control
Drive a risk-based process to identify where potential quality issues may arise either due to complex scope or skill gaps with the project team. To raise and address these issues early in the project and develop appropriate mitigation measures
Ensure consistency of key processes, project quality
Desired Capabilities:
Strong understanding of life sciences industry and experienced in leading and delivering successful projects for life sciences clients.
Experienced in managing design and engineering teams on medium to large-scale projects.
Planning, organising and analytical skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively on tight deadlines.
Good interpersonal skills to maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
Education & Experience:
Recognised Degree in Building, Engineering (Chemical, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical), Architecture or related disciplines
Life Sciences sector experience with min. 10 years of design and construction work experience in a design management, project management or construction management position
Knowledge of capital projects within Life Sciences industry including an understanding of cGMP practices, estimating, scheduling, field supervision, contracts administration, procurement, financial controls and reporting
