Position Overview:
The Project Manager oversees and drives projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet all business, technical, and quality requirements. The level of Project Manager assigned (PM1–PM4) depends on the project's size, complexity, audience, and scope.
Duties:
Direct and manage high-priority, enterprise-wide IT projects involving enhancement, business process re-engineering, or development efforts.
Oversee complete project life cycle including planning, design, development, testing, and implementation.
Coordinate project schedules, milestones, and priorities across multiple agencies and teams.
Develop, maintain, and manage the detailed Project Management Plan, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resources.
Identify and manage project risks and issues, and implement mitigation and resolution strategies.
Ensure compliance with project standards, procedures, and governance requirements.
Facilitate the development and approval of project estimates, scope changes, and work schedules.
Monitor project progress, budget, and performance metrics; report status and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.
Lead stakeholder communications, including proposal presentations, status reports, and milestone updates.
Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related issues, ensuring timely resolution and stakeholder alignment.
Conduct reviews with stakeholders to evaluate project success and capture lessons learned.
Mentor junior project staff and promote best practices in project management.
Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops to gather and document business requirements and use cases.
Perform current-state and future-state process assessments to identify operational improvements.
Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure solutions meet business and quality requirements.
Required Skills:
6+ years of experience with formal project management methodology.
- A four-year college degree or equivalent technical study is highly desired.
