What does the role look like?
The Project Manager is the main focal point and interface between Collins Italy and the customers. The ideal candidate will have strong problem solving and leadership skills, strategic vision, determination and accountability together with the ability to work within cross-functional teams.
What will your day-to-day responsibilities look like?

Provide overall strategic and technical leadership in managing the programs with particular focus on profitability, quality and on time delivery throughout all the life cycle of the program;

Oversee the design and development of new products (NPI), ensuring alignment with the technical Project Manager;

Ensure the on time development of the assigned programs, verifying they are compliant with the KPIs (CPI/SPI) and formulating offers for any changes in the "scope of work";

Keep focus and accountability on the Risk Management;

Manage the programs in the short term, keeping a holistic view on the business to anticipate risks and identify new opportunities in the long term;

Manage program contracts;

Ensure effective and efficient communication with the customer, enhance relationships ensuring timely and accurate answers;

Maintain accurate reporting on the program status, to both Site and Corporate organization, using appropriate performance indicators and constantly measuring the level of customer satisfaction;

Coordinate inter-functional activities contributing to the achievement of business goals;

Be accountable for Recovery Planning;

Coordinate the preparation of technical and commercial proposals working with other company departments, in compliance with Collins Management Systems (CMS) and Phase & Gate procedures;

Support audit activities requested by customers.
What will you bring to the role?

Engineering/Business Management degree
-
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in product / industrial / engineering management, with at least 2 years’ managing complex, technical / manufacturing issues;

Passionate desire to exceed demanding customer expectations;

Strong interpersonal skills, ability to influence and build strong business relationships within a diverse and international Customer pool;

Strength of character, resolved and driven for results. Someone who enjoys working within a fast paced ever-evolving organization;

Experience in interpreting and analysing complex data sets, with the ability to translate with ease into purposeful communications;

Proactivity, an individual who drives change and seeks opportunity for improvements;

Willingness to take ownership and deliver both as leader and as a team-player in a supportive and integrated team-based working environment;

Focused on exceeding expectations and comfortable in providing an individual effort on key activities;

Willingness to obtain PMI accreditation;
