Coho Construction Management is looking for a Project Manager/Superintendent to join our team. The manager will be responsible for the US Embassy, Algiers, Algeria Façade Replacement project to include but not limited to: “cradle to grave” construction project management.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Prepare, submit and facilitate project weekly and bi-weekly progress meetings
- Prepare, submit and administratively manage all subcontractor vetting procedures IAW OBO DIV1 guidelines
- Must be able to read and understand building design drawings and work with project Engineers
- Prepare monthly pay application in accordance with execution performance and the schedule of values associated with the project
- Ensure timely submission of all project submittals and RFIs while working with the QC/HSE Manager
- Ensure that the subcontractor personnel attend daily and weekly safety meetings and that execution AHAs are prepared and enforced
- Ensure that all employees follow safety rules and regulations IAW OSHA and EM 385-1 to include all local safety laws that pertain to the project
- Prepare and submit daily project reports such as the quality reports created by the QC/HSE Manager, and the work daily report based on daily performance of works
- Define and create schedules and coordinate the project by establishing a work plan, arranging staffing duties, producing reports, and ensuring the progression of the project through closeout.
- Closely coordinate and provide requests for all visitors, equipment and operators with the OB/SSC and OBO CM
- Work with subcontractor leadership to plan for upcoming milestones and daily goals IAW the project schedule to increase productivity
- Identify risk issues and avoid and mitigate as needed to ensure project remains on time and on budget.
- Develop corrective actions if required.
- Prepare and manage project execution budgets.
- Update ProjNet as required with RFIs, Submittals, Daily Reports and other project documentation as required
Essential Job Requirements:
- Education:
- Bachelor of Science Construction Management or Engineering preferred, or 20 years trade / construction field experience will be considered
- Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of 15 years’ experience as a Superintendent or Project Manager
- Prior OCONUS experience working on an USACE, DOD or DoS/OBO projects
- Must be Construction Quality Management (CQM) certified or willing to obtain this certificate within 90 days of hire
- Must be OSHA 30 Construction Safety certified or willing to obtain this certificate within 90 days of hire
- Must be EM 385-1-1 Safety certified or willing to obtain this certificate within 90 days of hire
- Must have a valid United States passport with more than 1 year remaining from the expiration date.
- Preferred Knowledge/Experience:
- Experience executing U.S. Military DOD, USACE, DoS/OBO projects and programs
- Certified Project Manager – PMI/PMP (Project Management Institute / Project Manager Professional)
- Construction Quality Management (CQM) certified
- OSHA 30 Construction Safety certified
- EM 385-1-1 Safety certified
