We are looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager – Inspection & Monitoring to join our team based in Dubai, UAE. In this role, you will be responsible and accountable for project delivery. You will ensure efficient and effective execution of the agreed work in the field of Marine Asset Integrity (MAI), such as Positioning and Construction Support (PosCon) projects and Inspection and Monitoring (I&M) across the Middle East.
Key Responsibilities:
Achieving Project Excellence:
- Support Key Account Managers, Business Development Managers, and Commercial Managers during the tendering process in preparing the technical sections of commercial proposals.
- To be fully aware of the project's contractual and commercial conditions, provide amendments where needed, and, together with the Account Manager, prepare invoices for the clients and chase payments if they are delayed.
- Undertake any other duties as appropriate within your competence when required.
Delivering Project Excellence:
- Ensure that assigned projects are executed following Fugro standards and client specifications.
- Plan, organise, and coordinate to balance project cost, time, safety, quality, benefit, and
risk. - Monitor project budgets, forecasting, schedules, and performance against KPIs and develop project documentation, including project execution plans.
Link between business and innovation:
- Link the teams that use the technology/solutions and those that develop them.
- Ensure that the workable technology/solutions teams deliver the proper outcomes for Fugro & our clients.
Lead a project team:
- Lead a project team to achieve an optimal balance between cost, time, and quality, and between cost, benefit, and risk on projects of complexity up to (and including) 3 by ensuring both effective and efficient execution of the project in such a way that the QHSSE, technical, commercial, and contractual requirements are met.
- Support more complex projects by leading a work package. Key contacts and relationships include Project Delivery Manager, Project Directors, Senior Project Managers, and Client Project Management Teams.
- Apply knowledge of professional principles and practices
Lead low-complexity projects:
- Lead low-complexity (level 1) projects (including the proposal phase) by applying
effective communication and principles of project governance and control so that the QHSSE, technical, commercial, and contractual requirements are met. - Assist project managers in ensuring both effective and efficient execution of the
project. Key contacts and relationships include Project Delivery Manager and more Senior Project Managers. - Lead project teams on low-complexity projects and work packages, guided by more senior Project Managers and Project Delivery Managers.
- Develop knowledge of professional principles and practices and has experience in leading Project Complexity 1 projects
What Skills & Experience Will You Have?
Education
- BSC. Engineering
- 8 years’ experience with at least 3 years’ experience in technical project support/management in Offshore Oil and Gas.
- Ability to work and part of the team and also independently.
Good communication and fluency in spoken and written English. - Arabic would be an advantage
- Internationally recognized Project management certification will be an advantage.
License/ certification/ qualification
- PMP (Project Management Professional – USA) or APM (Associate Project Management – UK) certification
