Summary
As a Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact in maintaining our product leadership position by managing projects and programs for new products and features to realize our short- and long-term product roadmaps. This role will primarily support the Barcelona site (drives) but may extend to support other sites including the UK and USA (encoders and motors).
We are looking for a talented and highly motivated individual who will be responsible for bringing new platform products from initial conception to mass production whilst ensuring high levels of quality and on time delivery. The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and be capable of balancing multiple priorities. The role is cross-functional comprising of managing matrixed teams of engineering, supply chain, commercial groups and operations to achieve key milestones and project objectives.
Responsibilities

Project Management Execution - Working within our multi-disciplinary team managing projects to completion on time, in scope and within budget while also complying with regulatory requirements.

Project Definition - Leading project planning and execution including defining requirements, scope and risk management.

Agile Implementation - Championing agile methodologies within the team, ensuring agile practices are understood and effectively applied.

Backlog Management - Prioritizing and maintaining the product backlog, ensuring clarity of user stories and acceptance criteria.
-
Sprint Planning & Reviews - Organizing and facilitating sprint planning sessions to define sprint goals and allocate tasks effectively.

Daily Scrums - Conducting daily stand-up meetings to monitor progress and address any impediments swiftly.

Stakeholder Communication - Maintaining open lines of communication with all internal and external stakeholders.

Resource Management - Managing resources efficiently to meet project timelines and budget constraints. Ensuring projects are staffed appropriately and teams are working effectively to maximize efficiency and delivery.

Risk Management - Anticipating and proactively identifying projects risks and mitigating them effectively.

Performance Monitoring - Tracking team performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjusting strategies as needed. Overseeing project goals, status, budgets, risks and mitigation plans with key stakeholders on a regular basis.
Requirements
-
Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field, with a preference for those holding a master's degree or higher.

Minimum 3-years’ experience in a project management role with preference for those managing engineering development during this time.

Strong knowledge of project management fundamentals employing both traditional and Agile management techniques
-
Proficient user in common administrative/software tools such as Microsoft Office, Confluence, JIRA, Confluence and MS Project; preference for coding skills such as Python or other programming languages.

A solid understanding of product lifecycle management, budgeting, and resource allocation is important.
-
Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals and manufacturing techniques, including DFM and PLM.

Excellent leadership and team management abilities.

Strong analytical, problem solving and debugging skills across many domains.

Demonstrated passion to be highly organized and process driven.

Positive, can-do attitude, with strong engagement skills and ability to influence positive outcomes with a sense of urgency and personal commitment to market success, always tempered by a high moral and business code of conduct.

Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Excellent communication and presentation skills demonstrating the ability to communicate complex concepts in easy-to-understand ways to colleagues, internal stakeholders, and customers.

Fluent in written and spoken English.

Certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Project Management Professional (PMP).

Knowledge of industry standards and compliance regulations, ISO:9001 and ISO:13485

General Motion control or robotics knowledge (motors types, feedbacks, controls, etc.).

Industrial communication protocols (EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, Profinet, CANopen).

Experience in Product Certification Process (CE, UL, Safety, etc.)

Familiarity with Systems Engineering and System Architecture principles.
Travel Requirements

Minimal travel (domestic and international) as needed to support projects or workshops; 10% of time.
Physical Requirements

Mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer. It is possible to work 1 day/week from home.
