PgP5 Plant is Bosch Group’s newest expansion in Malaysia a semiconductor test site in Batu Kawan Penang. The construction has begun in May 2021 and first series of production to commence in 2023. With the long-term forecasts for growth of semiconductor component quantities, coupled with the front-end production in Bosch’s Dresden facility in Germany, capacity expansion is required for the back-end production, which is the final testing phase of semiconductors and sensors. PgP5 will primarily focus on the final testing of components manufactured at Bosch Automotive Electronics’ fab in Dresden, Germany. The plant will also house R&D and training facilities.
Job Description
Job OVERVIEW
Responsible for industrialization project for final test readiness according to milestones agreed in product development and transfer project.
- Setup Project plan e.g. Time schedules, Work package planning, Risk-management
- Ensure Final test readiness and follow-up the ramp-up of the plant
- Lead Project-team locally and coordination (technical, logistics, etc.) with experts from the IPN-value streams
- Define and align requirements for Final Test processes and material flow in the plant
- Responsible for monitoring and successful ramp-up of HVM
JOB DESCRIPTION
- The industrialization plan to realize processes and set-up equipment and facilitating the readiness of lines for products.
- Ensure delivery of products with aligned targets to meet the ramp-up volume, cost and quality.
- Ensures adherence to the applicable process for product introductions, qualifications and release
- Initiate and execute Capex optimization for initial investments
- Accountable for process and Manufacturing Requirements implementation based on Product Specifications and Test Requirements incl the Control plan, FMEA and Line set-up.
- Orchestrates design for lean manufacturing with inputs from FOL workflows.
- Accountable for MF BOM and routing Master data until release to shipment
- Applies lean manufacturing principles
- Manage industrialization processes in new product introduction projects
- Responsible for monitoring and successful ramp-up of HVM incl. tracking and resolving issues in timely manner for the with the team.
- Any other duties assigned by immediate superior from time to time.
Qualifications
- Bachelors of Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
- A minimum of 5 years working experience is required preferable in a manufacturing production environment with at least 2 years of project management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform economic, business, commercial & technical analysis
- Be flexible, responsible and matured in decision making & good senses or urgency
- Meticulous, result oriented, motivated, resourceful, self-starter, ability to meet tight deadlines and work independently
- Ability to communicate to all levels of management, and cross functionally with business partners
- Possess cost awareness that align with company target orientation with focus on company vision & mission
- Willingness to travel occasionally. On-site training in China & Germany.
