Overview & Responsibilities
Purpose of the Job
Manages refinery and mid-stream projects with multiple strings (EP), large receiving terminal projects (CP), (IP). Experienced project manager position.
Scope
Project order values: approx. $20 million or less depending on product line.
May be responsible for several projects simultaneously.
Role Responsibilities
Scheduling Management
- Leads project hand-over from Sales / Application side to Execution side
- Establishes master schedule and sub-schedules with Project Planner
- Maintains on-time delivery with monitoring of engineering, procurement, and manufacturing
- Develops periodic Project Progress Reports and issues to the customer.
- Develops and manages expediting and/or mitigation plans if delay occurs.
- Negotiates delivery extension with customers if needed.
Budget Management
- Confirms initial budget after project hand-over from Sales / Application with Execution team.
- ·Identifies budget overrun when it occurs.
- ·Approves additional budget when requested.
- ·Closes budget when a project is completed.
- Develops mitigation plan to manage budget.
Communication
- Cooperates effectively with colleagues / partners across many departments.
- Manage conflicts between departments
- Leads global projects with Jeannette, Sodegaura, Bangalore, and Tianjin.
- Communicates with Field Service and Technical Service for site activities as required
- Has significant contact with customers, vendors and subcontractors with backgrounds in operations, engineering, supervision, and purchasing.
- Manages meetings with customers such as kick-off meeting, coordination meeting, inspection meeting, and expediting meeting.
- Manages customers’ claims
Experience and Education
- ·Bachelor’s degree preferably in engineering (mechanical, aerospace, or similar discipline such as project or business management.)
- 5 years of project management, project engineering or applications/sales engineering experience
- Prior project engineering, or application / sales engineering experience
- 5 years of turbo machinery (or equivalent industry) engineering experience preferred.
- Understands Elliott products (compressors, steam turbines, hot gas expanders, cryogenic pumps/expanders) preferred
- Understands industry standards including API and ASME.
- Directs engineering departments to manage schedule and budget if needed.
- Directs auxiliary suppliers such as motor, lube oil consoles, etc. to manage project schedule and budget.
- Utilizes Elliott’s systems, such as Windchill, Oracle, and Lotus Notes

Understands revenue, margin, and absorption.

Manages LD reserves.
Manages invoicing with Finance by communicating with customers.

Reviews terms of conditions, including LD, warranty, payments, delivery conditions, etc. in Purchase Orders.

Manages contract change requests and Change Orders with Contract Admin.

Manages contract suspension or cancellation with supervisors’ support

Understands Incoterms.

Arranges export shipment.

Monitors inbound logistics.

Decisions are made involving schedules, budget, internal and external communication aligned with the scope size listed above
