About the Role

The Business Analyst / Technical Project Manager collects and documents requirements and use cases for projects, which include new implementations, changes to existing platforms, and cases where we need to test specific financial controls relating to audit. This role will also work closely with the Quality Assurance team to help translate business requirements into QA test requirements. In addition, the Business Analyst / Technical Project Manager will manage the technical aspects of Information Technology projects, including creating the project plans with work breakdown structures and ensuring on time and accurate delivery of Technology projects.

A Day in the Life

  • Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement, and develop and implement solutions.
  • Lead ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.
  • Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
  • Perform requirements analysis, document and communicate results to appropriate teams.
  • Gather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and translate to project requirements.

  • Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements.
  • Ensure User Acceptance Testing is performed.
  • Document and consolidate audit artifacts for the Software Development Lifecycle and audit functions.
  • Update, implement, and maintain procedures.
  • Prioritize initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
  • Serve as a liaison between stakeholders and users.
  • Managing competing program resources and priorities.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of multiple projects.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation.
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Measure performance using appropriate project management tools and techniques.
  • Report and escalate to management as needed.
  • Perform risk management to minimize potential risks.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
  • Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, project management, or related field required.
  • 5+ years in the Business Analyst space.
  • 5+ years in the project management space.
  • PMI and Agile Scrum Master certifications desired.
  • BA certifications desired.
  • Ability to work under pressure and be highly pro-active in prioritizing issues and driving continuous improvement across the organization.
  • Expert in Microsoft Project.
  • Exceptional collaboration skills including the ability to negotiate to fair and reasonable conclusions with business stakeholders.
  • Has operated as a Business Analyst and Project Manager with SaaS platforms as primary operational tools.
