Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the implementation of new Information System modules and components for a large-scale modernization initiative. This long-term contract position is hybrid and requires candidates to reside in the Boise, Idaho area, with onsite attendance 2-3 days per week.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the implementation of new Management Information System modules and components from initiation through completion
  • Define and manage project schedules, scope, budgets, implementation plans, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Coordinate multiple vendors and project managers through governance processes and master project schedules
  • Monitor project risks, milestones, deliverables, and dependencies
  • Ensure project deliverables meet Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) requirements and business objectives
  • Coordinate resources across vendors and state teams during planning, implementation, go-live, and certification activities
  • Analyze project progress and adapt plans as needed to ensure successful outcomes
  • Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders and provide regular project updates
  • Present project status, risks, and achievements to executive leadership and legislative bodies
  • Identify issues early and drive resolution through collaboration with management and stakeholders
  • Support data aggregation, analytics, reporting initiatives, and business requirement prioritization
  • Develop stakeholder engagement strategies and foster project awareness and support across impacted groups

What You'll Need

Required:


  • 5+ years of project management experience leading technology projects within healthcare or state government environments
  • 5+ years of experience with system and data conversion from legacy platforms to new systems
  • 5+ years of experience with change management, training coordination, communications, and organizational readiness activities
  • Strong organizational and project planning skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proven ability to manage deadlines and critical project paths
  • Experience gathering business requirements and prioritizing execution activities
  • Ability to proactively identify risks, issues, and decision points and drive resolution
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams

Preferred:


  • 5+ years of experience working with Idaho state agencies
  • 5+ years of experience working with state Medicaid agencies
  • Experience supporting large-scale government modernization initiatives
  • Experience presenting to executive leadership and government stakeholders
  • Familiarity with healthcare technology systems and Medicaid operations

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional movement throughout the office

$82 - $87 per hour

The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
