Job PurposeThe Project Manager is responsible for planning, leading, and delivering projects that support Operations' objectives, including initiatives tied to technical changes, operational controls, business process improvements, and recurring technical processes. This individual applies project management discipline to define scope, establish timelines, manage risks and dependencies, coordinate cross-functional workstreams, and ensure successful execution from planning through implementation and stabilization. The Project Manager partners closely with Operations, Technology, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Sales, and other stakeholders, including third party vendors, to align outcomes with business priorities, regulatory requirements, and operational standards. The Project Manager supports enterprise-wide projects and is responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, organizing, and leading projects within Operations and across departments, including system implementations and enhancements, business process changes, legal and compliance matters, and organization restructures.
Essential Responsibilities- Lead cross-functional project teams from initiation through implementation and stabilization.
- Develop project plans, milestones, timelines, dependencies, resource requirements, and success measures.
- Establish project governance, including status reporting, decision-making forums, issue escalation, and communications.
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, dependencies, and deliverables.
- Maintain project decisions, action items, assumptions, and status documentation.
- Provide regular, concise updates to senior leadership and project sponsors.
- Identify barriers to successful delivery and develop mitigation and resolution strategies.
- Coordinate multiple workstreams and ensure alignment across business and technology teams.
- Facilitate project meetings, working sessions, and decision forums.
- Partner with the Change Manager, or serve as the Change Manager when appropriate, to align change management plans, stakeholder communications, training, implementation activities, and project timelines.
- Support initiatives involving administrative systems, data, reporting, workflows, and operational controls.
- Build effective relationships with business leaders, subject matter experts, technology teams, key stakeholders, and vendors.
- Build alignment across business leaders, subject matter experts, technology teams, and stakeholders by translating complex information into clear, actionable communications.
- Performs other duties and/or projects as assigned.
- Exceptional ability to plan, manage, and execute large, cross-functional projects and initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of project methodologies; agile, waterfall, and hybrid.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and projects to meet deadlines.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively, influence decisions, and serve as a liaison between cross-functional teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify, understand, and analyze complex problems and develop appropriate action plans from multi-disciplinary perspectives.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to delegate effectively and manage large project teams.
- Effective stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks and a demanding workload and to quickly learn new skills and concepts in a fast-paced, process-oriented environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI and Power Automate.
- Availability to support planned technical deployments approximately 2–3 weekends per quarter.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and/or education required.
- 3+ years of project management experience required.
- Experience working with an enterprise project management system required; Jira and Confluence preferred.
- Experience managing business process changes and/or managing projects that include technical development and delivery of technical solutions preferred.
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)-PMI preferred.
