POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing assigned training and operational projects to ensure successful execution within established scope, schedule, budget, and compliance requirements. This position manages deployment schedules, training coordination, equipment purchases, financial tracking, subcontractor support, invoicing, reporting, and day-to-day operational requirements while serving as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders, customer representatives, personnel, and students.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage assigned projects from planning through execution, ensuring deliverables are completed within approved scope, schedule, budget, and performance requirements.
- Develop and maintain project scope, cost estimates, schedules, milestones, staffing plans, and resource requirements.
- Monitor project budgets, expenditures, purchasing, invoicing, and related financial activities to support accurate forecasting and cost control.
- Coordinate deployment schedules, training requirements, equipment purchases, subcontractor support, and other operational needs for assigned programs.
- Ensure company processes, customer service standards, contract requirements, and applicable compliance guidelines are followed.
- Prepare, review, and submit required reports, records, and project documentation accurately and on time.
- Coordinate with company service centers, support groups, vendors, subcontractors, and customer representatives to meet program requirements.
- Identify staffing or resource shortfalls, communicate impacts, and support resolution of program needs in coordination with leadership.
- Track project performance, risks, issues, and deliverables; escalate concerns and recommend corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure personnel complete required reports and training and that required documentation is maintained in applicable master files.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for assigned personnel or student issues and concerns, coordinating appropriate resolution with leadership and support functions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Project Management, Operations, or a related field required; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
- Project management experience, including responsibility for schedules, budgets, reporting, customer coordination, and operational execution.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance; current Secret clearance preferred.
- Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday and travel up to 25% to CONUS and OCONUS site locations, as required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Project.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide direction, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and communicate effectively with leadership and customer representatives.
- Ability to manage time, competing priorities, and multiple projects through completion.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities, operational requirements, and customer needs in a fast-paced environment.
