We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Project Manager to lead cross-functional projects supporting our rapidly expanding business. This role is responsible for the end-to-end management of projects, including planning, execution, stakeholder engagement, budgeting, quality control, risk management, and project evaluation.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Strategy
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and execution strategies.
  • Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success metrics.
  • Establish project timelines, milestones, and resource requirements.
  • Align project objectives with business priorities and strategic initiatives.
  • Monitor project performance and implement adjustments as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities for operational efficiency.
Project Execution & Delivery
  • Lead projects from initiation through completion, ensuring successful execution and measurable results.
  • Coordinate activities across multiple functions and departments.
  • Manage competing priorities and resolve project roadblocks proactively.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Track project milestones and regularly communicate progress.
Stakeholder Management & Communication
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate project status, risks, challenges, and achievements to leadership and project teams.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and facilitate timely decision-making.
  • Lead project meetings, presentations, and status reviews.
  • Gather feedback and incorporate stakeholder input into project plans when appropriate.
Budget & Resource Management
  • Develop and manage project budgets.
  • Monitor expenditures and ensure adherence to approved financial plans.
  • Allocate resources effectively across multiple projects and priorities.
  • Identify and mitigate budgetary risks.
  • Provide regular reporting regarding project financial performance and resource utilization.
Quality Management
  • Establish quality standards and control processes for project deliverables.
  • Conduct project audits, reviews, and quality assessments.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet organizational and customer expectations.
  • Drive corrective actions and continuous process improvements when quality concerns arise.
Risk Management
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
  • Monitor emerging risks and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Maintain project risk registers and communicate risk status to stakeholders.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate project documentation.
  • Prepare project dashboards, reports, and executive updates.
  • Document milestones, decisions, lessons learned, and project outcomes.
  • Ensure project records are complete, organized, and current.
Project Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
  • Conduct post-project reviews and evaluations.
  • Gather feedback from stakeholders and project teams.
  • Identify opportunities for process, performance, and operational improvements.
  • Implement lessons learned to improve future project execution.
Team Leadership
  • Lead and influence cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and support to team members.
  • Establish performance expectations, goals, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and results-driven work environment.
  • Promote continuous learning and professional development.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, Operations, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in a manufacturing, industrial, engineering, construction, infrastructure, or technology-related environment.
  • Proven experience leading complex projects and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, risks, and resources.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent project management certification.
  • Experience supporting Data Center, Critical Infrastructure, Industrial Automation, Electrical, Construction, Manufacturing, or Technology projects.
  • Experience working within a high-growth business environment.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Experience leading cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.

The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $110,000 plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience, and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range. At Xylem, we offer a competitive compensation package with a generous benefit package, including Medical, Dental, and Vision plans, 401(k) with company contribution, paid time off, paid parental leave, and tuition reimbursement.
