Services Project Manager plays a critical role in delivering medium-to-large telecommunications deployment projects that enable customer network success. This position drives project execution, governance, financial performance, and customer satisfaction across the project lifecycle. The role contributes to high-quality service delivery while aligning project outcomes to customer and business objectives.
How you will make an impact:
Deliver telecommunications services projects from inception through closure using established project management methodologies and contractual requirements.
Lead project handover activities, validate scope of work against sales orders, and develop detailed project schedules and work packages.
Identify project risks, develop mitigation plans, and conduct complexity reviews with key stakeholders.
Manage project scope, schedules, hardware delivery tracking, resource planning, and change order processes.
Drive customer communications, status reporting, governance reviews, escalations, and stakeholder alignment.
Coordinate engineering, installation, testing, and Ready for Service activities to achieve quality and deployment objectives.
- Achieve project financial targets, revenue forecasts, acceptance milestones, and project completion requirements.
- Prepare and update project documents including schedule, risk register and governance as per project management methodologies.
- Maintain organisational tools as required for compliance and monitoring
The must haves:
Education: Technical degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: 10+ years of telecommunications industry operational experience and/or project implementation experience.
Experience: 8+ years in a lead role within Professional Services and/or participation in medium-to-large-scale projects.
Certifications: PMP certification preferred and required within one year of hire.
Utilization of Microsoft Office applications including Project,Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Nice to haves:
Experience with subsea deployment projects.
Business and financial management experience related to project-level P&L management.
Experience working within a matrix management environment and influencing without direct reporting relationships.
Experience negotiating with customers, internal resource owners, and external suppliers.
Ability to manage multiple account activities and project priorities simultaneously.
Background in fiber optic or high-speed data communications technologies.
Professional certification such as PMP or PRINCE2
