We have an opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join our Energy & Utilities team. Based in Invercargill, you'll lead the successful delivery of technically complex projects that require strong stakeholder engagement, early contractor involvement, and collaborative partnerships with our customers.

You'll play a key role in keeping projects moving forward, removing roadblocks, managing risk, and driving outcomes that create lasting value for our customers and the communities they serve.

Working closely with clients, delivery teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, you'll help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

You'll bring:

  • A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • Proven experience in Project Management within civil construction, water infrastructure, or a related utilities environment
  • Experience managing multiple work sites, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders
  • Strong commercial acumen, including monthly claims, forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting
  • The ability to develop and monitor project programmes, budgets, and delivery methodologies
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Exposure to Three Waters projects will be highly regarded
  • A strong commitment to safety leadership and Zero Harm principles
  • Well-developed computer and project reporting skills

No two days are the same. You'll be responsible for leading projects from planning through to delivery while ensuring strong customer outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building trusted relationships with customers and project stakeholders
  • Anticipating risks and resolving issues before they impact delivery
  • Ensuring contract performance meets quality, safety, and delivery requirements
  • Managing project budgets, forecasts, costs to complete, and performance reporting
  • Verifying the accuracy of monthly claims and financial submissions
  • Supporting the development of project methodologies, programmes, and delivery plans
  • Coordinating people, plant, technology, and resources to achieve successful project outcomes

Skills Required
