The Opportunity
As Project Manager you will be part of the RSS Project Management organization and report to the Chapter Lead for Methodology Coaching. Are you a project management enthusiast and want to provide best in class project management services to partners across Roche? Then you are the candidate we are looking for.
In this role you will be responsible for successful Project Delivery using agile or traditional project management methodology. Your work will include but will not be limited to:
Engagement Delivery
Business Value & Success Factors: Understanding the business goals and value of the project to deliver defined organizational benefits, while ensuring critical success factors (reliability, compliance, efficiency, sustainability, time-to-value) are managed throughout the entire lifecycle.
Methodology & Execution: Using the appropriate methodology (Waterfall, Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) to manage dependencies and set clear priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Global Team Leadership: Leading or participating in global project teams by ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and precise resource assignment to project plan deliverables.
Stakeholder & Change Management: Effectively managing stakeholders and understanding their organizations to establish key relationships, while applying organizational change management practices and ensuring effective project communication.
Facilitation & Coaching: Designing and leading workshops, acting as a proactive facilitator, and serving as a comfortable coach for project squads.
Planning & Risk Management: Generating, maintaining, and tracking an accurate and realistic project plan alongside a project risk and issue log, ensuring the project status remains timely and transparent.
Governance & Reporting: Preparing and presenting to relevant governance meetings as required by the chosen project methodology and good project management practice.
Financial Control: Tracking project financials and seeking governance approvals whenever needed.
Business Development: Contributing to business development opportunities where appropriate
Capability Building
Be an active member of the Methodology Coaching Chapter by
Continuously improve the project management capabilities, service offerings and community engagement leveraging latest developments and market dynamics
Supporting the development of training content and toolkits for our team
Actively managing your project management upskilling
Applying your learnings during engagements and sharing them with your chapter colleagues
Who You Are
You possess the following qualifications, experience and personal attributes
Appropriate university degree and 5+ years of project management related work experience
Deep understanding of project management fundamentals (Waterfall) and agile ways of working (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe), alongside related tracking and planning tools.
Experience in leading global/complex projects, organizing and optimizing resources and establishing clear priorities
Ability to motivate and lead a project team or team members if required
Excellent communication skills, with demonstrated proficiency in influencing, negotiating, and effective global collaboration.
Ability to effectively communicate across various levels of a complex, matrix organization. Ideally exposure to an additional field related to project management, such as project change management, business consulting, methodology coaching.
Experience in project management financials and resource management
