Why This Role Matters

The Project Manager is responsible for leading the daily operations of an assigned contract while ensuring exceptional service delivery, compliance, employee engagement, and customer satisfaction. This role provides leadership to supervisors and employees, manages contract performance, oversees budgets, staffing, quality, and safety, serves as the primary liaison between Didlake, the customer, and corporate support departments, and supports Didlake's mission of creating opportunities for people with disabilities. As an essential personnel member, this position is required to respond to and remain on-site during emergency operations, including snow removal events, for extended period as required to meet operational requirements.

What You Will Do

Contract & Operational Leadership

  • Direct and oversee all day-to-day operations of assigned contract(s).
  • Ensure contract performance consistently meets or exceeds customer expectations and contractual requirements.
  • Develop operational plans, staffing strategies, and workflows that maximize efficiency and quality.
  • Monitor performance metrics, KPIs, quality assurance measures, and operational trends to drive continuous improvement.
  • Prepare and present operational reports for customers and Didlake leadership.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between Didlake, customers, subcontractors, and corporate departments.

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, develop, coach, and retain a high-performing workforce.
  • Supervise frontline supervisors and employees, providing ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and development opportunities.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and recommend personnel actions consistent with company policy.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, respect, and inclusion.
  • Support employee engagement and promote Didlake's values throughout the workforce.

Financial & Resource Management

  • Manage contract budgets and operate within established financial parameters.
  • Monitor labor utilization, employee scheduling, overtime, and staffing levels.
  • Track supply and equipment expenditures and ensure responsible resource management.
  • Recommend operational improvements that enhance efficiency while controlling costs.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all contract requirements, company policies, OSHA regulations, and federal safety standards.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture through inspections, coaching, and corrective actions.
  • Immediately address unsafe conditions and stop work when imminent hazards exist.
  • Support safety committee initiative and maintain required documentation.
  • Ensure accurate employee timekeeping and attendance records.

Quality Assurance

  • Monitor operational quality and implement corrective actions when needed.
  • Review project status and adjust staffing or work plans to maintain performance objectives.
  • Ensure all deliverables are completed on time and within budget.

Human Rights & Mission Support

  • Foster an environment that promotes dignity, inclusion, and respect for all employees.
  • Ensure Human Rights policies are understood and followed through training, reporting, and accountability.
  • Partner with Rehabilitation Services to support employees with disabilities and maximize employment success.
  • Champion Didlake's mission of creating employment opportunities and meaningful careers.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Complete required operational reports, documentation, and records accurately and timely.
  • Maintain compliance with all required Didlake training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • A BS/BA in Business, Management, Operations, or related field and a minimum of three (3) years of management experience leading custodial, facilities, environmental services, or commercial operations, OR
  • An AA/AS and at least five (5) years of relevant experience.
  • Experience managing teams in a federal contract environment is preferred.
  • Experience supervising diverse workforces, including employees with disabilities, is highly desirable.

Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions required.
  • Must be able to respond to and remain on-site during emergency operations, including snow removal events, for extended period as required to meet operational requirements.
  • Familiarity with federal contracts, budgets, safety, and personnel management regulations required.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills to interact with, train, and resolve the personnel issues of people with disabilities.
  • Must possess strong leadership and coaching skills.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance

Skills Required

  • BS/BA in Business, Management, Operations, or related field AND a minimum of three (3) years of management experience leading custodial, facilities, environmental services, or commercial operations
