The Role

Introduction to the job

In the Global Warehousing Services (GWS) department we are looking for a strong project manager who can help us bring our global warehousing landscape to the next level. Our warehouses support our factories in the production of the ASML machines and our customers in their chip production fabs by keeping parts and tools in warehouses close to them.

In total we have around 60 service and factory warehouses globally. The Global Warehousing Services team, is tasked to ensure  the warehouses are ready to support our factories and customers in the most efficient way. This means that all facilities need to be fit for purpose, provide enough space, sufficient skilled manpower that use the standard way of working, and beneficial commercial agreements.

Role and responsibilities

The growing number of ASML machines at our customers requires ASML to review the existing warehousing landscape and transform this into a warehouse solution fit for the future.  

As Project Manager Warehousing, you will be involved from the warehouse strategy until the implementation of the warehouse processes and will take a leading role in the warehouse landscape transformation. It will be your responsibility to translate the business requirements into warehouse requirements, manage the processes projects successfully to completion and hand over the warehouse to the Operations team. Time, money and (internal) customer satisfaction will be your main drivers.

Job description

  • Manage warehousing solution project and or strategic warehousing projects including the assigned budget
  • Translate the operational and storage requirements into the logistics processes needed for the service or factory warehouses
  • Manage logistics suppliers to deliver the requested warehousing solution in time
  • Build relationships with wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Define, drive and deliver optimization projects in the Warehousing domain to drive cost down and material availability up
  • Act as a subject matter expert in your field

Education and experience

  • Master or bachelor in Supply Chain Management
  • Minimal 8 year experience in a Supply Chain or Logistics position in the High Tech industry
  • Minimal 5 years project management experience
  • Experience with Service Logistics and/or managing 3PL’s
  • Experience with setting up warehousing processes or strategic warehousing projects
  • Experience with change management or organizational transformations
