Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to define a planning strategy that includes a full list of activities that are important for the management of project, to decide on a project delivery methodology (waterfall, agile, etc.), and to align with stakeholders. Each day, you will plan, schedule, coordinate, and deliver the Information Systems (IS) project outcomes within agreed time, scope, cost, and agreed quality. You will also showcase your expertise by communicating appropriate information to stakeholders promptly to achieve desired understanding and support and effectively managing stakeholders' expectations and relationships.
The work model for the role is: Hybrid
Job Location: Bangalore, India or Krakow, Poland.
This role is contributing to Common Procurement & Logistics IS Domain
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Lead end-to-end IS/IT projects from initiation through planning, execution, deployment, and closure, ensuring delivery within agreed scope, timeline, budget, and quality standards. Lead global Vendor Management System (VMS) implementations, migrations, enhancements, and transformation initiatives, including platform strategy, country rollouts, process standardization, integrations, and legacy-system decommissioning.
- Lead the deployment and enhancement of integrations between global VMS platforms and third-party enterprise systems, including HR systems and ERP platforms. Own project delivery for VMS platforms and related technology initiatives, ensuring alignment between business requirements, technology strategy, enterprise architecture.
- Define project objectives, scope, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, resources, and success criteria in collaboration with business and IS stakeholders. Manage cross-functional teams involving Business, IS, vendors, solution architects, integration teams, security, procurement, and external service providers. Establish and maintain project governance, including project plans, RAID logs, status reporting, steering committee updates, decision tracking, and escalation management.
- Executing IS project communications and reporting IS project performance against the plan and expected business outcome. Ensure projects follow applicable IS governance, architecture, security, compliance, data protection, and change-management standards. Drive system integration projects, ensuring successful coordination between enterprise applications, SaaS platforms, APIs, middleware, and downstream/upstream systems.
- Support business process transformation and identify opportunities for standardization, automation, simplification, and cost optimization. Conduct regular project gate reviews and provide timely status updates to ensure clear visibility, transparency, and alignment across all stakeholders, enabling timely decisions, risk mitigation, and escalation where required.
Qualifications for the role (Mandatory) - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in IT/IS project management, with demonstrated experience delivering complex technology projects.
- Proven experience in Vendor Management System (VMS) implementations, migrations, transformations, or major platform enhancement projects. Experience with Workday integrations, including integration with third-party applications, HR systems, or enterprise platforms. Strong understanding of enterprise SaaS platforms, system integrations, APIs, middleware, data flows, and integration architecture.
- Strong understanding of the software development and project lifecycle, including requirements, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and transition to support. Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and senior business stakeholders. Project Management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent is an advantage.
- Experience with Waterfall, Agile/Scrum methodologies and relevant certifications is an advantage. Experience with SAP Fieldglass, SimplifyVMS, Beeline, Workday, or similar enterprise SaaS platforms is an advantage. Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
