We are currently seeking a Project Manager Technical Project Mgmt. (IT) Sr. Manager to join our dynamic team in Bologna, Italy!

Vertiv is seeking a Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery across teams and regions within the Digital organization. This individual contributor role is responsible for driving the planning, execution, and successful delivery of digital platform initiatives — including Compass AI, Writer AI, Site Scope, Workato, UiPath, Power Automate, and Cursor — while managing scope, schedule, resources, risks, and dependencies across cross-functional teams. The Project Manager will act as the central coordination point for stakeholder communication, governance cadences, and executive-level status reporting. This role directly supports Vertiv’s Operational Excellence and Customer Focus strategic priorities by ensuring that Digital platform initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and with measurable business impact.

As an individual contributor in a coordination-lead capacity, this role manages delivery across multi-regional programs spanning multiple regions. Drawing directly from Vertiv’s internal project management framework, this position supports planning and execution, change management activities, and phased rollout coordination for enterprise digital platforms. The Project Manager will track and report on project KPIs covering adoption, delivery velocity, quality, and user experience. The role involves using tools such as JIRA and Smartsheet to maintain delivery roadmaps, track risks & milestone.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • End-to-End Delivery Management: Own project planning, execution, and delivery across Digital platform initiatives — managing scope, schedule, resources, risks, and dependencies across teams and regions to ensure on-time, in-scope delivery of Compass AI, Writer AI, SiteScope, Workato, UiPath, Power Automate, and Cursor.
  • Stakeholder Coordination & Communication: Serve as the central coordination point for cross-functional stakeholders spanning technology business teams; establish governance cadences, meeting rhythms, and executive-level status reporting to maintain alignment and decision velocity.
  • Regional & Global Rollout Support: Lead or support the global rollout of Digital platform initiatives, coordinating regional best practices, phased deployment plans, and change management activities across regions to ensure consistent adoption and operational readiness.
  • Planning & Roadmap Management: Develop and maintain detailed project plans, delivery roadmaps, and milestone trackers aligned with Digital organization priorities and business strategy; ensure plans are kept current and communicated clearly to leadership and delivery teams.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify, escalate, and resolve project risks, blockers, and dependencies; maintain risk registers and drive mitigation plans to closure, ensuring leadership is informed and delivery is protected from avoidable disruption.
  • KPI Tracking & Reporting: Define and track project KPIs covering adoption, delivery velocity, quality, and user experience; produce regular status reports and dashboards for leadership and stakeholders, providing data-driven visibility into delivery health and program performance.
