Project Manager [Talents Bench]

Metal Toad is an Advanced AWS Consulting Partner that empowers organizations to innovate through artificial intelligence, cloud migration, cost optimization, and application modernization. We help our customers with their cloud adoption by providing architecture, migration, optimization, machine learning, and even 24/7 support. We are a professional services firm providing services in software engineering and the cloud. We do Technical consulting, Programming & Quality Assurance, DevOps, Applications, UX, Product management, and Project management.

Metal Toad is a fully remote company that offers all team members the ability to work from home. For this opportunity, the selected candidate must be available to work Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Time (PST).

Although Metal Toad is a remote company, we are currently seeking contractors
residing in Brazil for this position. Compensation will be made in Reais (R$), following the local currency of the country where the position is located. Due to legal limitations, we are unable to sponsor any type of visa.

Job Description

As Project Manager, you will play a key role in guiding customers through successful implementation journeys, from project initiation through closure. You'll be the driving force behind keeping projects on track, on time, and within budget, while building strong relationships with clients and internal teams alike. You unblock and tackle developers and remove dependencies before they become a problem. You can identify risks, conceptualize multiple scenarios, and chart a path to success. You are goal-oriented, and you believe in continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Leadership

• Ensure project success
• Work closely with an agile development team throughout the entire project lifecycle
• Facilitate scrum ceremonies, including daily sprints, mid-sprint reviews, and retrospectives
• Facilitate continuous improvements of the team and its processes using a servant leadership style
• Identify and resolve problems, questions, dependencies, and other team dysfunctions
• Track team velocity, health, and sprint progress, and surface risks to the appropriate stakeholders
• Own budgets, timelines, scope, and risks 
• Act as the client’s primary contact on projects and radiate information and transparency.
• Provide high levels of client communication and customer service
• Take clear notes on action items and effectively disseminate information and tasks to the team
• Report weekly to the manager on project health (including budgets, schedules, and scope concerns)
• Report weekly/monthly status updates to clients
  

Qualifications Required

• Advanced to fluent English communication skills are essential for this role.
• 3+  years of experience in project management or other applicable roles.
• Direct work experience in the digital realm and knowledge of development project life cycles
• Direct work experience with a variety of software development methodologies and project management tools, i.e., SCRUM/Agile and Kanban.

Nice to Have

• Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Scrum certification (PSM).
