Project Manager & Scrum Master - Data Analytics & AI

Job Description Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager and Scrum Master to
lead our data analytics or AI projects and delivery of data products. The ideal candidate will have a
strong background in project management and agile methodologies, with a focus on delivering data-driven solutions. This role requires excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills to
manage cross-functional teams and ensure the successful delivery of analytics products.
Project management and delivery coordination will be required across a defined Development and
Support Lifecycle: Ideation – Evaluation – Prototype – POC – Pilot – MVP – Scale – Product Support.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:Project Management
  • Accountable for end-to-end delivery of assigned projects to agreed schedule, scope and budget.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support organizational objectives in collaboration with project team and stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Facilitate regular status meetings and ongoing project planning activities regarding schedule development, resource allocation, issue prioritization, risk management, and communication / change planning.
  • Monitor and track project progress, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
  • Remove barriers to success in a proactive and collaborative manner.
  • Identify, track, and communicate risks and response recommendations.
  • Lead timely resolution of key issues, decisions, escalations, and risks (implementing mitigation plans as needed).
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and support.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed and accurate project reports including progress and health updates, RAID items, budget, etc.
  • Adhere to Project Management Office (PMO) guidelines, standard tools/templates, and reporting methodologies.
  • Ensure that the project is smoothly handed over to the business and Operational Support following a formal gate review process with project closure activities and lessons learned.

Scrum Master

  • Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Coach and mentor team members on agile best practices and principles.
  • Remove impediments and ensure the team is focused on sprint goals.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Track and report on team performance metrics and progress.

Product Management

  • Partner with TDS Product Teams on the definition and delivery of new Digital Products, Data & AI Products or Services.
  • Partner with Senior Business and TDS leads to identify viable use cases and potential ROI for documenting Business Cases.
  • Support development of product roadmaps, resource planning, and release cadence within, adhering to Agile Framework.
  • Manage full lifecycle Reporting and Governance for Digital, Data and Analytics Products and Projects

Data Analytics and AI Focus

  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to deliver high-quality analytics products.
  • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Help drive the adoption of data analytics tools and technologies.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data analytics.
  • Understanding of and experience implementing Emerging Technologies

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager and Scrum Master, in data analytics or related domains.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and project management frameworks (PMI, PRINCE2).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g. Smartsheet’s, JIRA, Trello, MS Project).
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools / technologies (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
  • Experience managing stakeholder expectations at all levels of the organization

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure - preferred, AWS, Google Cloud).
  • Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.


The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.


The compensation for the position is: $123,250.00 - $145,000.00
