Role description:

For our Project Management Team Technology in the Places Business Unit, we are looking for a dedicated Project Manager - Scheduling (f/m/d) to support data center construction projects. 

The position is located within our global Places business unit. Together with our customers around the world, we create, promote, and optimize intelligent, safe, and sustainable places where people live, work, learn, and succeed. Places influence people's quality of life—whether it’s housing, shops, workplaces, schools, hospitals, businesses, research and development facilities, or data and distribution centers. Role accountabilities:

As a Project Manager - Scheduling - Data Centers (f/m/d), you will play a key role in planning, managing, and monitoring project schedules for complex data center and high-tech construction projects. You ensure that all project phases are coordinated and executed on time, significantly contributing to the smooth progress and success of the projects. You will work closely with project management, specialist planners, contractors, and clients while maintaining an overview of critical milestones, resources, and risks.

  • Develop, maintain, and control detailed project schedules for data center projects across all phases.
  • Coordinate and align schedules with internal teams, external service providers, and clients.
  • Monitor project progress, identify schedule deviations, and develop corrective actions to meet deadlines.
  • Analyze scheduling risks and conduct scenario planning (what-if analyses) for schedule adjustments.
  • Support resource and capacity management to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Prepare and facilitate schedule reporting and status meetings for project management and stakeholders.
  • Document and track schedule escalations and deviations.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Several years of experience in schedule planning and control, ideally within data center or infrastructure projects.
  • Solid knowledge of project management methodologies and tools, especially MS Project, Primavera, or similar software.
  • Strong analytical skills, structured working style, and high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to present complex schedules clearly and effectively.
  • Fluent in English and German, both written and spoken.
  • Willingness to travel as required by project demands.
