Job Description:

Project Manager - Salt Lake City, UT

About Packsize

Packsize is an automation company that enables more efficient and sustainable packaging process flows from packing to unboxing. We’re propelling our customers and the industry forward, always looking to innovate and improve. Because, to us, packaging is about much more than a box; it’s about delivering what’s right, for our customers, for their customers and our planet.

About the Role

The Project Manager plays a key role in driving strategic initiatives and ensuring successful execution of projects across global business functions. Reporting to the Global Director, PMO, within the Global Programs & Strategy department, this role manages cross-functional initiatives from planning through delivery, ensuring alignment with company goals, governance standards, and performance metrics.

You’ll collaborate with varying internal (IT, Finance, Operations) and external partners to implement systems, integrations, and process transformations that improve accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across Packsize's global footprint.

This is a mid-level position ideal for a project professional who thrives at the intersection of business processes and technology. Managing projects end-to-end with limited oversight, while influencing stakeholders across multiple time zones and business units.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead end-to-end project delivery—from planning, scope definition, and design through execution and closeout.

  • Coordinate and align cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, product, supply chain, and finance) to ensure milestones, budgets, and performance targets are met.

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and risk registers.

  • Track progress against KPIs and prepare concise reports and executive updates for senior leadership.

  • Support vendor and consultant selection, contract negotiation, and performance management (RFP/RFQ).

  • Champion project management standards and continuous improvement practices across the PMO.

  • Facilitate effective communication and decision-making among global stakeholders.

  • Mentor junior project staff and promote best practices in project governance.

  • Identify and mitigate project risks, escalating critical issues when necessary.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, or related field or 4–6 years of progressive project management experience leading cross-functional initiatives.

  • PMP, CAPM, or Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred.

  • Experience with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Smartsheet's, MS project, or Jira.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a global or matrixed organization

  • Strong understanding of systems, integrations, or accounting principles preferred.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to influence without direct authority.

  • Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.

    What Success Looks Like

  • Projects consistently delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

  • Teams report improved alignment and communication through your leadership

  • Governance standards and reporting accuracy continuously improve across your projects.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

  • Typical office working conditions. Occasional travel may be required for project execution or global team collaboration.

What We Offer

The salary range for this role is $104,592-$128,100 USD; however, Packsize considers several factors when determining compensation when extending a job offer, including but not limited to, the role being offered, the associated responsibilities, the candidate's prior work experience, education/training, and any special skills.
