Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Release Train Engineer (RTE) to lead Agile Release Trains (ART) an drive successful Program Increment (PI) planning and execution. The RTE will act as a servant leader and coach, ensuring collaboration across teams, measuring delivery and flow, and managing ART-level execution and dependencies. A background in wealth management or the financial industry is strongly preferred.

Job Description

  • Facilitate PI Planning events, Scrum of Scrums, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt workshops.
  • Act as a servant leader and coach for the Agile Release Train (ART).
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Solution Architects, and Business Owners to ensure alignment on vision, roadmap, and priorities.
  • Monitor and track program execution, ensuring timely delivery of value.
  • Identify and resolve program-level impediments, risks, and dependencies.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration.
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination across teams and stakeholders in both Japanese and English.
  • Support Lean-Agile transformation and drive adoption of SAFe practices.

Skills & Experience
Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong understanding of SAFe methodology and other agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Hands-on experience as an RTE leading PI Planning and ART execution.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and mentor teams in agile principles and practices.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in creating and analyzing agile delivery metrics and dashboards.
  • Proficiency with enterprise agile tools (Planview, Jira, confluence).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Japanese - Read, Write, Understand ( Advanced Level )
  • English - Read, Write, Understand ( Business Level )

Internal Guidelines about Work from Home:

Hybrid Model, following Manulife’s Working Better guidelines.

Over time:

0-40 hours/month.

Salary:

Based on our Work Rules, we will consider your experience, skills and knowledge when we decide the salary.

Commutation allowance and Variable Incentive Bonus are paid based on our Work Rules.

Working Hours:

Standard Working Hours: 9:00am - 5:00pm  (Include 1 hour break. Flex-time system available)

Hatsudai Head Office, Tokyo Opera City, 3-20-2 Nishi Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo Japan
