With 70-plus years of leadership and clinical efficacy, Enovis Recovery Sciences products can be found in clinics and homes across the globe. Providing muscle activation and pain relief, our solutions support patients recovering from surgical procedures or chronic ailments and support overall human and animal health.
Position Summary:
Enovis’ Recovery Sciences business is the leading global provider of high-quality clinical equipment for rehabilitation and pain management used by physical therapists, occupational therapists, athletic trainers, and chiropractors. To improve our position even further, Recovery Sciences is focused on accelerating the pace of new product development and better integrating our global product offering to meet the changing needs of clinicians. Recovery Sciences R&D supports Chattanooga, LightForce, Companion, and Compex brands.
The Project Manager will lead cross-functional teams to deliver new products to the market with a goal of reducing time to market while significantly improving launch success. Due to the dynamic nature of the business this role will also lead strategic initiatives on product development process improvement and growth objectives such as acquisitions.
Key Responsibilities:
Engineering Project Management
- Manage New Product Development Projects from feasibility phase to final product launch, in collaboration with the PMO Manager and the Recovery Sciences leadership team.
- Develop and maintain a project plan to achieve Business case objectives; identify variations to plan, mitigate them and execute changes as needed
- Identify, manage and mitigate project risks
- Ensure that the project is delivered achieving the specification, timeline, and cost targets
- Lead & influence cross-functional project teams, including internal and external stakeholders (Marketing, Regulatory, Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering)
- Manage all project team meetings and all operational activities needed by the project
- Establish and execute a communication plan to keep all levels of the organization informed as necessary
- Develop in collaboration with other departments the entire project documentation (DHF), following Enovis procedures
- Understand medical devices development regulatory environment
Strategy Development
- Understands market trends, healthcare professional’s needs, competitive strategies, etc. and uses this knowledge to guide development of plans and products.
- Actively solicit voice of the customer input, including physicians, allied health care providers, sales consultants and distributors, to understand clinical needs and trends to develop incremental and/or new-to-world products
- Support target identification, due diligence, and integration activities for acquisitions and business partnerships
Continuous Improvement
- Work with R&D, Regulatory, Marketing, and Supply Chain leaders to improve the New Product Development process
- Develop and improve third party relationships that can increase the capacity, efficiency, and effectiveness of Recovery Sciences’ NPD efforts
- Develop competency in the most relevant CBS tools, including Accelerated Product Development, Root Cause Countermeasure, and Transactional Process Improvement.
Minimum Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor in Engineering
- 5-7 years work experience in Project Management in a highly regulated environment
- Experience with medical device product development is a plus
- Experience on Software products development is a plus
