The Role

Capco is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a major Real-Time Rail (RTR) implementation initiative at one of our leading insurance and banking clients. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of payments modernization, leading a complex, enterprise-wide transformation that will redefine how customers and advisors experience payments.

As a consultant embedded within the client's transformation team, you will be responsible for driving the successful delivery of the RTR program from planning and mobilization through to implementation and stabilization. You will partner with senior stakeholders across Payments, Technology, Operations, Finance, Treasury, Risk, and Customer Experience to ensure delivery excellence across multiple interconnected workstreams.

What You’ll Do

  • Project Manage the end-to-end delivery of the Real-Time Rail implementation program, ensuring milestones, budgets, and outcomes are achieved.
  • Develop and manage integrated program plans, coordinating dependencies across multiple business and technology workstreams.
  • Establish governance structures, facilitate executive steering committees, and provide clear reporting on progress, risks, and financial performance.
  • Drive stakeholder alignment across Payments, Technology, Operations, Treasury, Finance, Risk, Fraud, and Customer Experience teams.
  • Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate program risks, issues, and cross-functional dependencies while supporting successful transition to business-as-usual operations.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong knowledge of the Canadian payments ecosystem, including Real-Time Rail (RTR) and modern payments infrastructure
  • Extensive Project or Program Management experience delivering large-scale, cross-functional transformation initiatives within financial services.
  • Proven ability to manage complex programs with multiple workstreams, dependencies, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills across business and technology functions.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering strategic initiatives on time, within scope, and within budget.

Bonus Points For

  • Experience working on payments modernization, digital banking, or financial infrastructure transformation programs.
  • PMP, Agile, Scrum, or related project delivery certifications.
  • Experience working with Interac integrations, reconciliation and settlement processes, or fraud and risk management frameworks.
  • Previous consulting experience within a professional services environment.
  • Familiarity with customer experience, digital channel, or operational readiness initiatives within banking or insurance organizations.

Contractor Requirements

  • Vendors and contractors engaged by Capco must be an incorporated business, have a valid HST number, and provide evidence of business insurance coverage, including Commercial General Liability, Automobile Liability, and Errors & Omissions insurance.
  • Please note that this is a contractor role and is not eligible for employee benefits or annual discretionary/variable bonus payments.
