In this role, you will work closely with National Sales Organizations (NSOs), customers, and technical partners to manage end-to-end implementation projects. From the initial feasibility analysis to installation and final acceptance, you will ensure every project is delivered on time, within scope, and at the highest quality standards.
This is a highly visible role within Canon’s Integrated Printing & Services Group (IPSG) where you will combine technical expertise, project leadership, and customer engagement to deliver complex printing environments for commercial and industrial customers.
Your Role
As Project Leader, you will take ownership of complex customer implementation projects involving Canon production printing systems and integrated third-party solutions. You will lead projects from concept to completion and act as the central coordination point between sales teams, technical experts, suppliers, and customers.
Pre-Project & Solution Design
Analyse customer requirements and perform feasibility assessments for production printing solutions
Support customers and sales teams with expert advice on Canon and third-party hardware solutions
Develop solution concepts and prepare Solution, Design & Efforts documentation
Present project proposals and mandates to internal stakeholders and steering committees
Define project structure, roles, responsibilities, and implementation plans
Project Execution
Lead complex implementation projects involving multiple internal and external partners
Coordinate activities between Canon Production Printing, Canon Europe teams, external suppliers, and customers
Manage project timelines, resources, budgets, and risk assessments
Facilitate project meetings, track progress, and ensure project deliverables meet quality standards
Communicate project updates to stakeholders including customers and senior management
Manage project acceptance, closure, and transition to Service Operations.
Customer & Technical Leadership
Act as the main contact for NSOs for project-related topics across Canon and customers
Provide technical guidance and support to resolve complex hardware or integration challenges
Ensure compliance requirements (including CE declaration under the Machinery Directive) are met
Ensure a smooth transition from project delivery to Service Operations
Continuous Improvement
Capture project learnings and maintain detailed project documentation
Transfer knowledge into central databases to support future projects
Gather customer feedback and contribute to continuous improvement of solutions and services
Support the successful introduction of new production printing products
Experience in project management within production printing, industrial printing, or complex technical installations
Strong understanding of production printing workflows, hardware, and printing environments
Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders including customers, suppliers, and internal teams
Strong communication and presentation skills
Structured and solution-oriented working style
Fluency in German and English
Willingness to travel
