Job Description
This posting is for two Project Manager openings for two different product categories.
As a Project Manager in Product Development, you will manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires strong collaboration with Product Managers, Directors, Engineers, and Designers within a specified category, providing guidance on individual projects and supporting overall portfolio planning.
As part of a global organization, you will work with team members across different regions, ensuring alignment and effective communication. The ideal candidate will:
Successfully manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
Demonstrate strong attention to detail and follow-through
Assist in defining and finalizing project scope and parameters
Focus on delivering milestones on time and within budget
Develop comprehensive project plans and contingency plans as needed
Key Responsibilities
Long-Term Planning
Collaborate with Product Management and Directors to develop long-term strategic plans for assigned categories.
Project Planning
Assist in defining project scope and objectives, engaging all relevant stakeholders.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Develop detailed plans for engineering projects
Monitor project risks and create contingency plans as needed.
Leadership & Communication
Demonstrate exceptional communication skills to manage relationships across all stakeholders.
Establish effective communication methods for project plans, weekly updates, changes, and critical milestones.
Coordinate globally with forecasting, supply chain, suppliers, engineering, P1, product, and other cross-functional teams.
Report progress and escalate issues to management as necessary.
Project Prioritization
Ensure timely kickoff and delivery of projects according to seasonal and strategic timelines.
Present and review launch dates with Product teams to align with Program Management goals.
Process Development
Communicate process deviations to the Director of Program Management for approval and documentation.
Continuously seek opportunities to improve efficiency in product development processes.
Review lessons learned and update processes accordingly.
Requirements
Preferred: Experience with project management tools such as Workfront, Microsoft Teams and Agile methodologies.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in project management
Background: Engineering experience is a plus, but not required
Certifications: MCPM or PMP a plus
Specialized Experience: Managing electronics-related projects is a plus, but not required
Skills: Skilled in project, resource, and portfolio planning, leveraging prioritization and time management to drive successful delivery in fastpaced environments.
Travel: Ability to travel internationally and within the U.S. 1–2 times per year
Flexibility: Availability for evening calls (1–2 nights per week)
