The Role

Part-time - 20.5hrs pw

Contract: Maternity cover

Location: Preston

About the role:

The role holder is the project manager and initial contact point for projects that are within the scope of the Product Marketing team e.g.) the product cessation process and support PIPO (Phase-In-Phase-Out) activities. The role holder will also support the Project Team Manager in running the Market Launch Process for ad hoc projects when required. 

On a daily basis you'll be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Facilitate project status reviews, documenting issues, risks and deliverables status for allocated projects and report on the progress of those activities to key stakeholders.
  • Provide support to the Project Team Manager in monitoring and reporting on the progress of projects to improve aspects project portfolio control.
  • Manage a full suite of Project KPIs highlighting areas that need attention or improvement.
  • Provide data to facilitate faster decision making.
  • Manage and communicate blocking points and escalation of them, as required.

About you:

We want to make sure you’re set up for success in our mission. To be successful in your application you’ll need:

 Essential:

  • Good understanding and knowledge of cessation and MLP processes.
  • Highly numerate, ability to turn data into information and actions.
  • Good project planning and interpersonal skills.
  • Good all-round communicator, possessing strong electronic, written and oral communication abilities, with ability to communicate at all levels.

Desirable:

  • A formal project management qualification would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of wider business processes, including NPD (New Product Development).
  • Technical understanding and ability to communicate this across key external and internal stakeholders
  • Experience within highly technical B2B manufacturing environment.
  • Experience of successfully monitoring and supporting marketing launch processes.
