Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Ports & Marine to join our Florida team and lead the delivery of complex infrastructure projects throughout the region. This position will play a key role in managing client relationships, leading multidisciplinary project teams, and delivering successful projects across the Ports, Marine, waterfront, and coastal infrastructure markets.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Leads complex Ports, Marine, waterfront, and coastal infrastructure projects from planning and design through construction and completion
- Manages a portfolio of complex clients and projects, with responsibility for project delivery, revenue generation, profitability, schedule, quality, and client satisfaction
- Leads multidisciplinary project teams and provides direction to Project Managers and staff responsible for multiple projects or programs, including projects involving Risk Triggering Factors (RTF), complex scopes, and significant risk and uncertainty
- Establishes project execution strategies and directs teams in identifying, mitigating, and eliminating project risks while minimizing exposure to claims, scope changes, and financial impacts
- Develops and maintains strong client relationships, delivering repeat business through successful project execution and identifying opportunities for continued growth
- Oversees project financial performance, including revenue, forecasting, cost control, profit margins, billing, and overall project performance
- Coordinates multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders, including clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and technical disciplines, to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with AECOM and client requirements
- Provides leadership in business development, proposal development, client engagement, and strategic growth within the Florida Ports and Marine market
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field plus 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education
- 6 years of progressive project management experience, preferably involving ports, marine, coastal, waterfront, or heavy civil infrastructure
- Valid US Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing Ports, Marine, waterfront, coastal, or maritime infrastructure projects
- Experience working with FDOT, Florida port authorities, municipalities, or other public-sector transportation and infrastructure agencies
- Experience with marine infrastructure such as ports, terminals, piers, docks, bulkheads, seawalls,sheet piling, dredging, waterfront improvements, or coastal resilience projects
- Professional Engineer (PE) license and/or PMP certification preferred.
- Established relationships with Florida Ports, FDOT, contractors, consultants, and other key industry stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience with business development, client management, and developing repeat business within the Ports and Marine market
- Relocation assistance is not available for this position
- Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position

Skills Required
