Job Description:
The Project Manager will lead and oversee complex projects for the Federal Agency. The Project Manager will manage a team of 20+ employees, coordinate with stakeholders, ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, and maintain adherence to federal guidelines. As a key leader, this role requires expertise in cybersecurity, infrastructure security, and federal project management, ensuring alignment with the Federal Government’s mission of protecting critical infrastructure and enhancing national security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple large-scale projects within the federal agency, including planning, execution, and delivery.
- Ensure that all project activities align with the federal agency’s mission to enhance the nation's critical infrastructure’s security, resilience, and reliability.
- Develop and implement detailed project plans, outlining timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation.
- Manage and mentor a team of 20+ employees, including project coordinators, analysts, engineers, and administrative support staff.
- Act as the primary point of contact between the federal agency leadership, stakeholders, and contractors.
- Facilitate communication with internal teams, federal partners, and external stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of projects.
- Conduct regular briefings and progress reports to federal agency leadership and ensure stakeholders are informed of project developments.
- Develop and oversee project budgets, ensuring that all resources are allocated effectively and that spending remains within the approved financial scope.
- Monitor project expenses and prepare financial reports as required by federal agencies.
- Manage and deploy project resources, ensuring optimal personnel, tools, and technology use to achieve project goals.
- Identify and mitigate risks that could impact the project’s success, including cybersecurity threats, compliance risks, and operational challenges.
- Ensure compliance with federal agency policies, regulations, and agency-specific guidelines.
- Develop and maintain risk management frameworks and ensure security protocols are integrated into project management practices.
- Track project performance using appropriate tools and metrics to ensure the timely delivery of project objectives.
- Implement performance reviews and provide coaching and feedback to staff to enhance project delivery.
- Create comprehensive reports and deliver presentations on project performance, outcomes, and future recommendations to senior management and leadership.
- Continuously assess and improve project management processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of current cybersecurity threats, infrastructure security issues, and risk management strategies that impact federal agency mission.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 8+ years of project management experience, preferably within federal government agencies or the cybersecurity/infrastructure sector.
- At least 3 years of experience leading teams of 20+ employees in a project environment.
- An active PMI Project Management Professional (PMP®) or PMI Program Management Professional (PMP®) Certification at the time of proposal submission.
- Supporting CISA and knowledge of various CISA Divisions and Mission Enabling Offices (MEO) mission areas.
- Proven success in managing complex, large-scale projects, particularly within federal or similar government agencies.
